Anecdote: An Urban Re-score by Andy Wood
Temple Mill, Holbeck, Leeds (March 2006)
Temple Mill is an extraordinary building in the heart of industrial Leeds. It is a copy of the temple to Horus at Edfu in Egypt and was built as a flax mill in the 1840’s. Its flat roof was turfed for insulation and it is said that a flock of sheep grazed on it.
This large-scale video projection installation with a rural sound-scape was part of the Secrets & Light series commissioned by the Culture Company.
