Featuring cut-away talking-head monologues (David Toole) this film represents
a typical 'Our Day Out' at a British seaside town, fish n chips, ice-cream,
rain an all. Elderly couples with umbrellas, an amusement arcade through
the eyes of a wheelchair user, donkeys and bumper cars all form part of
the affectionate and nostalgically portrayed landscape. But with a surreal
pink twist.
Reminiscent of a Super-8 home-movie it was projected onto two huge beach
towels as the backdrop for the live show 'Postcard'. Choreographed by
Lucy Suggate, the show got through to the prestegious Place Prize 06 finals
in London and excerpts from this video were shown on Channel 4's 'Three
Minute Wonders' (Sept 06)
